This study examined the issue of corporate liability for damages resulting from climate change. This is one of the themes of the Fifth International Conference of the Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Isra University, on governance and its impact on combating climate change. The study examined and analyzed the major economic transformations the world is witnessing, and the resulting environmental impacts and their impact on combating climate change. In our research, we emphasize that the problem of the study concerns corporate liability for damages. However, it is necessary to limit the damages resulting from corporate activities on the environment, and that the primary goal is to preserve the environment and combat climate change. It is also necessary to take the necessary measures to avoid climate change. Our study targeted international legislation, treaties, and agreements, particularly the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and the National Environmental Protection Law. At the end of the research, we reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is the difficulty of identifying sources of pollution and that the responsibility of major countries is doubled. The study concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably that Arab countries need legislation to address climate change and that countries can be linked to global technology to keep pace with developments and the damage caused by climate change.
