Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy
The Journal of Scientific Development for Studies and Research (JSD) is committed to advancing high-quality scholarly research and promoting open access to scientific knowledge in the fields of social sciences and technology. In support of these objectives and to cover the costs associated with editorial processing, peer review management, production, and online publication, the journal applies a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) to accepted manuscripts. This policy enables the journal to maintain unrestricted access to published content, ensuring that research findings are freely available to the global academic community.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts accepted for publication in the Journal of Scientific Development (JSD) is USD 100 per article.
Payment Procedure
Acceptance Notification
Authors will be informed of the editorial decision regarding their manuscripts via email. For accepted submissions, the notification will include details of the applicable APC.
Invoice Issuance
An official invoice specifying the total amount due will be issued and sent to the corresponding author.
Payment Methods
Payments may be completed through PayPal or via the journal’s secure credit card payment gateway. Detailed payment instructions will be provided with the invoice.
Payment Deadline
To facilitate timely publication, payment must be completed within ten (10) days from the date of invoice issuance.
APC Waivers and Discounts
The Journal of Scientific Development (JSD) recognizes the importance of supporting researchers facing financial constraints and therefore offers APC waivers and discounts under specific circumstances.
Full Waivers
A full APC waiver may be granted to authors whose previously published articles in JSD have received citations from researchers publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, subject to verification by the Editorial Office.
Partial Discounts
A 50% APC discount may be granted to authors affiliated with countries experiencing exceptional economic, social, or humanitarian circumstances, as determined by the journal.
Application for Waivers and Discounts
Authors wishing to request an APC waiver or discount should submit a formal application at the time of manuscript submission. The application should include a brief justification together with any relevant supporting documentation. All requests will be reviewed by the Editorial Board, and applicants will be notified of the final decision in due course.
Institutional Agreements
JSD maintains collaborative agreements with a number of academic institutions and professional organizations. Authors seeking to benefit from an institutional discount must provide an official letter issued by their institution confirming their eligibility under the relevant agreement.
Refund Policy
All APC payments are non-refundable. Once payment has been received, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to manuscript withdrawal by the author(s) or subsequent changes in publication status.
Policy Amendments
The Journal of Scientific Development (JSD) reserves the right to amend or update this APC Policy at any time. Any modifications will be announced through the journal’s official website and, where appropriate, communicated directly to corresponding authors of submitted manuscripts.
