The Diversity of Quranic Qira'at in the Arabized from the Foreign Names of the Prophets (An applied interdisciplinary study in the science of Qira'at, phonetics, Arabization, and ancient Semitic languages)

Abstract

Since ancient times, the Arabian Peninsula has been distinguished by its location on the most important main roads between East and West. And it formed a passage between the three continents of the ancient world, and the Arabs mixed with other peoples as a result of trade.

And entered the language of the Arabs, foreign words that they heard from others, so they Arabized and used them, and the Holy Qur’an was revealed in a clear Arabic tongue, so he used words, expressions, and structures that the Arabs were familiar with. So, it came in the Holy Qur’an what the Arabs used before the mission and they agreed on it from non-Arabic names.

In this research, I intended to limit the non-Arab names of the prophets and angels in the Holy Qur’an and Qira'at, with a study of the phonetics changes which happen in those words when it was Arabized. I titled the research as: “The Diversity of Quranic Qira'at in the Arabized from the Foreign Names of the Prophets and Angels (An applied interdisciplinary study in the science of Qira'at, phonetics, Arabization, and ancient Semitic languages)”
